J-1 Visa Program

The J-1 visa for training: All potential trainees are foreign nationals who either have a either degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary academic institution and at least one year of prior related work experience in their occupational field acquired outside the U.S. or 5 years of work experience in their occupational field acquired outside the U.S. Training programs are limited up to 18 months.

The J-1 visa for interns: All potential interns are foreign nationals who are currently enrolled in and pursuing studies at a degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary institution outside the U.S. or graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months prior to the start date of the exchange program. Intern programs are limited to 12 months.

Trainees and Interns have verifiable English language skills sufficient to function on a day to day basis in their training environment. During the application process, we will verify an applicant’s English language proficiency through a recognized English language test, or signed documentation from an academic institution or through a documented interview conducted by GIP.

As an Intern Trainee Program Participant, you are required to have a Training Plan that outlines specific phases of your training during your J1 program. This plan ensures that you are getting the most out of your experience, enhancing your formal education in a business setting.

During your J-1 program it is your responsibility to review your Training Plan often and alert GIP at any point if you have questions or concerns about your training.

Please contact our Program Coordinator with any questions or reach out to your Support Team by emailing info@gravityintprog.com or calling 1-800-289-0645.
